Resident Engineer

Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose

The Resident Engineer is responsible for the overall electrical works at the plant. This includes Vendor management and supporting Production to resolve any electrical issues.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute Preventive Maintenance Activities such as scheduled preventive maintenance checklist, planning and unplanned line stop schedules for all the process equipment and associated utilities in plant. 
• Document and execute all problem records.
• Request and propose alternative solution on Repair and Maintenance, spare parts and 3rd party maintenance needed requisition by engineers to smoothen maintenance activities. 
• To propose on yearly departmental budget for repair and maintenance, spare parts and 3rd party maintenance requisition. 
• Recruitment activities includes interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, mentoring, counselling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Conducts performance reviews and holds supervisors and technicians accountable for optimal performance of their responsibilities. 
• Provide recommendation to any issue related to electrical and machineries 
• Drive and execute continuous improvement program.
• Responsible to machine installation, commissioning and collection of commissioning data
• Liaise with vendor (local and oversea) to solve production issue.
• Support production whenever is necessary.

Skills and Attributes Required

•  3 to 5 years working experience in manufacturing industries 
• Experienced in supervising or leading a group of maintenance technicians 
• Strong in electrical and control system such as PLC programming, SCADA/ HMI design (optional), hardwiring and electrical and electronic hardware 
• Preferable experienced in Siemens PLC
• Strong in electrical and control system troubleshooting 
• Strong in technical knowledge 
• Preferable with A4 chargeman license
• Experienced in Project management will be advantage
