Goods In Operative

Reports to:

Warehouse Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for warehouse activity (good in or good out) with full compliance with CPL operational, safety, hygiene and quality standard.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Goods Out

• Accurately pick customer orders following company procedures
• Ensuring goods are labeled correctly.
• To prepare pallets as per instructions
• Load and unload onto vehicles as per driver’s instructions.
• Ensuring / checking no drum is damaged after vehicles are loaded.
• Complete all paperwork / computer entries associated with dispatch as per company procedure
• Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean and tidy.
• Highlight any problems encountered within the dispatch process.
• Additional duties as directed by the Reporting Manager.

Goods - In

• Unload delivery vehicles when they arrive
• Checking deliveries against the manifest
• Booking raw materials in and onto the AWMS system
• Sampling all deliveries of raw materials to the QC department
• Place all raw materials into respective warehouse locations once QC passed and location confirmed on AWMS
• Keeping the warehouse are clean and tidy
• Cycle-count raw materials on a regular basis and update the CPL MRP system
• Ensure storage location data for all raw materials is accurate on the CPL MRP system
• Highlight any discrepancies in the deliveries received to the line manager so that vendor complaints can be raised in time.
• Adhere to the quality, health, safety and environmental policies for CPL.

Skills and Attributes Required

• Min SPM
• Fork Lift Truck driving license
• Able to work with heavy drums
• Able to work efficiently and effectively with attention to detail, even when under pressure
• High level of numeracy skills
• Good time management
• Experience of working within an IT controlled environment - Advantageous
