Compounder

Reports to:

Production Manager

Job Purpose

• Weigh and mix aromatic oils and chemicals to a predetermined formulation, strictly following a pre-determined formulation and in accordance to company procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Highlighting any problems encountered during the compounding process to the line manager.
• To ensure vessels are labelled correctly.
• To adhere to company manufacturing Health & Safety procedures, along with procedures specific to certain raw materials.
• Accurately complete all paperwork associated with a batch.
• To ensure all work areas are clean and tidy.
• To ensure all equipment to be used is clean and dry.
• Communicate any dangers in the workplace to the appropriate person.

Skills and Attributes Required

• Basic English language is an essential
• Holder of a Forklift Truck driving license
• Previous experience of weighing & measuring things - Advantageous, but training would be provided
• Able to work with hazardous materials and manual handling of drums is required
• Able to work efficiently and effectively with attention to detail, even when under pressure
• Good level of numeracy skills
• Understand and follow work instructions.
