Job Purpose

Responsible for leading all resources in the production area in order to fulfill all released productions orders to meet customer requirements whilst ensuring high standards of safety, quality, respect for the environment and efficiency, proper stock control, lower lead times, establishing a culture of continues improvement and adherence to all company practices and policies and local regulations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and control the fragrance manufacturing process as per quality standards, customer requirements and maximize factory output with the available resources.
  • Overseeing all Production activities, including Goods In, Goods Out, dosing machines, manual compounding & packing.
  • Monitor Factory output and propose and Implement innovative solutions/CAPEX to boost efficiency and productivity of the area to achieve lowest possible lead-time.
  • Manage the raw materials and fragrances stock to comply with cycle counting and FIFO practices, ensure proper rotation to reduce slow moving provision.
  • Ensure a safe working environment with strict adherence to all safety protocols, and the timely response to accidents investigation and prevention of unsafe working practices and behaviors.
  • Train and develop the direct reports, objective setting and performance follow up to achieve a successful organization.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives on the production department whilst training the production staff to achieve good maturity levels that reflect in the overall performance of KPI´s.
  • Manage proper supply of consumables required for production.
  • Mange efficiently the consumption of energy and water.
  • Correct management of all waste generated in the factory (empty drums, absorbents, gloves, general waste,).
  • Be present on site and supervise when the teams require to work after hours, overtime or on weekends as per the business needs.
  • Communicate with other departments any issue which could delay the expected delivery date of the works orders.
  • Link with QA, maintenance, QSHE, purchasing, shipping, planning, CS, HR and IT departments to assure the best customer service and support the production departments needs.
  • Monitor staff absence.

Skills and Attributes Required

Essential:

  • Professional with bachelor's degree on Chemical, Process, Industrial or similar engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience as supervisor or manager roles in manufacturing/production on chemical industries or FMCG companies.
  • Experience and Knowledge on ERP systems such as AX/Dynamics 365, SAP, etc.
  • CAPEX implementation experience focus on continues process improvement, ideally on automation and digital processes.
  • Experience on managing and developing people.
  • Fluent in English (B2 minimum).

 

Advantageous:

  • Post graduated studies on Manufacturing, Engineering, or industrial project.

  • Lean-6Sigma MBB – Black Belt certification.
