Shipping Coordinator

Reports to:

Operations Manager

Job Purpose

Coordinate all operations related to the import of raw materials, export of finished products, national shipping, and internal logistics, ensuring full compliance with free trade zone requirements and local government customs regulations to support the business's manufacturing and sales process.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Lead and organize all imports and exports, complying with supplier and customer regulations.
• Lead a team of shipping assistants and monitor indicators and all processes in the foreign trade area.
• Coordinate logistics and supervise the commercial services of transport companies to ensure deliveries according to the dates required by the customer.
• Generate all reports required by the free trade zone and local authorities.
• Maintain and integrate all inventories in the free trade zone system and the CPL system.
• Prepare and attend to all audits related to the foreign trade process.
• Support all areas in purchasing processes to enter the FTZ, dispatch goods, exits and entries of materials, waste, spare parts, samples, and everything the business requires.
• Coordinate the customs agency service to ensure nationalization within the required times and with the correct tariff classification.
• Ensure constant communication through daily reports and updates to the sales team on the status of order deliveries.

Skills and Attributes Required

Qualifications
•    Professional Degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Engineering, or related fields.

Technical Skills
•    English
•    Knowledge in Microsoft Office
•    Desirable knowledge in free trade zone information systems
•    Knowledge in customs and tax regulation

Experience
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in Foreign Trade, Logistics, and specifically Free Trade Zone requirements.
