Job Purpose

The Lab Assistant will perform the applications, performance evaluations and send the corresponding samples to the different projects handled by both the design & development area and the commercial area in order to guarantee timely delivery to the client.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Apply fragrances to personal care, home care and/or fine perfumery bases according to the requirements of internal/external customer requests.
  • Update and monitor raw material and base inventories (internal/external), with the aim of ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Develop the standard bases required in the laboratory for the development of applications according to the established parameters.
  • Review, maintain and purify the fragrances included in the Colombia library following the instructions for managing the CPL Aromas Colombia library.
  • Review the requests that arrive at the laboratory to verify if the requested fragrances are in stock.
  • Request the fragrances that are running low from the weighing laboratory or production as appropriate and follow up accordingly.
  • Keep the area's collection files up to date.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and organized physical/virtual inventory of laboratory packaging materials, ensuring their availability.
  • Perform the assembly, development and tabulation of performance evaluation results according to the requirements of the requesting areas (commercial, evaluation or research and development) in accordance with the established instructions.

Skills and Attributes Required

Qualification: Minimum high school diploma, preferably a technical degree in chemistry or related fields.

Training: Knowledge of office automation

Experience: Minimum 6 months experience in laboratories or production areas.
