Job Purpose
Regulatory: The role involves supporting and advising on customer requests. You will learn and share your knowledge of regulations and legislations related to fragrance production and formulation with customers and colleagues worldwide.
FM: You will learn how to monitor and implement formulation changes based on customer requirements, discontinued raw materials, or changes in regulatory status. Additionally, you will liaise with local perfumery, purchasing, production planning, and quality control to address local raw material issues.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage client(s):
- Support teams in resolving requests and inquiries from external customers (or agencies).
- Assist in the mission of the department to provide customers is exceptional service.
- Follow up with customers/manufacturers of finished products/contract manufacturers to obtain technical information.
Manage compliance:
- Get understanding on relevant regulation to support on confirmation of compliance of fragrances with legislative and customer requirements.
Manage database:
- Maintain the database and files updated and organized, managing the relevant changes or updates and ensuring that the documents comply with the regulations at all times.
Support product review and development:
- Learn how to review and approve fragrance formulations to ensure they comply with legislations.
- Work with the R&D team to ensure new fragrances meet legislative requirements.
Participate on training:
- Keep updated with the regulations and legislation in force in Spain/EU.
- Participate in internal and/or external trainings related to regulations, legislations, raw materials, etc.
Manage formulations:
- Manage formula modifications: Learn how to manage formula modifications when necessary to improve production efficiency and meet division palette requirements 1.
- Coordinate with teams: Regularly coordinate with perfumery, purchasing, regulatory, production planning, and quality control to improve communication, efficiency, and provide support to operations 2.
- Produce monthly reports: Learn how to produce the required monthly local stock and FM information and distribute it to the appropriate global teams.
Skills and Attributes Required
Education:
- Training in chemistry, pharmaceutics or equivalent.
- Training related to fragrances or similar (desirable).
- Eligibility for a FP Dual / FP Convencional.
Skills and attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Time management skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking and project management skills.
- Willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
Other skills and requirements:
- Availability to do an internship for 6-8 months.
- High level of English (B2-C1).
- Familiar with EU cosmetics regulations (desirable).
- Good computer skills - Microsoft Office.
