Job Purpose

Responsible for creating marketing content for CPL and providing marketing support to the sales team. This role is expected to have a specific focus on the Spanish market, monitoring trends, launches and market share of brands in all categories (internationally). This role will be key to respond to the needs of our strategic clients, who request detailed marketing support when presented with a brief.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Provide support in marketing projects:

  • Clearly understand client marketing projects raised by commercials.
  • Make the necessary marketing presentations for each project, including all market data and creative requested.
  • Support the sales team, if requested, in client project presentations or other marketing support to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Provide inspiration and innovative thinking to develop relevant concepts and support at concept level in the creation of new winning fragrances.

 

Generate marketing content:

  • Track CPL's global marketing activity, selecting and tailoring presentations that could be useful to local customers.
  • Use CPL's marketing tools to monitor target markets at trend level across all categories.
  • Create proactive, modern and conceptual presentations, supporting sales to introduce CPL to strategic clients.

 

Know the market:

  • Conduct periodic storechecks in specialty stores and retail chains to monitor target markets in all categories.
  • Use CPL marketing tools to monitor target markets in all categories.
  • Translate market trends, lifestyle and consumer spending habits into product concepts.

 

Support innovation:

  • Share regular updates on new trends and market opportunities with commercial, perfumers and evaluation department.
  • Support the commercial department, evaluation and R&D on new launches and new technologies present in the market.
  • Work closely with other teams (Perfumers, Evaluation, Sales) throughout the process to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.

 

Interact with customers:

  • Visit customers (accompanying the sales person) to present market research and trend analysis in relation to customer needs, both reactively and proactively.

 

Skills and Attributes Required

Required skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish and English).
  • Ability to organize your tasks efficiently and proactively.
  • Creative mindset.
  • Ability to communicate internally and with clients.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze the market.
  • Ability to always find a balance between results and resources invested.

 

Education:

  • University studies (Science or in Marketing).
  • Training related to fragrances or similar (desirable).

 

Professional experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an equivalent position.
  • Experience in the Marketing Department in a Fragrance, Personal Care, Fabric Care or Home Care company.

 

Other skills and requirements:

  • High level of Spanish (C1-C2).
  • Medium-high level of English (B2-C1).
  • Good computer skills - Microsoft Office.
  • High level of motivation for the world of perfumery.
  • Availability to travel within the province, throughout the national territory and internationally.
