Job Purpose

In this role as an olfactory development specialist, understanding the existing fragrance portfolio will be essential, in addition to analysing current olfactory styles, having a solid grasp on regional trends and learning the constraints related to the industry (regulatory, cost). The junior evaluator will be responsible for selecting winning fragrance themes for client accounts at CPL Aromas.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities of the Role include:

  • Answer routine small to medium sized customer projects
  • Work on key accounts under the guidance of Senior Developers
  • Learn main market types through GC matches and fragrance development with perfumers
  • Understand key regulatory requirements and their implications on fragrance development
  • Assure allocated projects are answered on time with best fragrances​
  • Get to know the key markets, retailers and brands
  • Attend category meetings
  • Asist a Senior Develop on a chosen category
  • Develop a clear understanding of the customer team
  • Attend creative days
  • Work on trends presentations under the guidance of senior member of the team
  • Brand map key accounts
  • Customer Visits – carry out fragrance training, accompany the account manager on customer visits to present fragrances and trends.  Attend meetings to accept and discuss customer projects
  • Project Management - Initiate and run project meetings with key stake holders at the beginning of a project.  

Skills and Attributes Required

Qualification

At least 2 years' experience in fragrance development or a similar role

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent Communication Skills (spoken & Written English)
  • Knowledge and experience in Ms Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Prior experience in the Fragrance Industry
  • To promote and represent CPL's core values in the marketplace and internally
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are needed
