Applications Laboratory Manager

Job Purpose

  • To prepare fine fragrance, personal care and household application samples as requested for customer briefs.
  • To prepare applications for the UK perfumers and developers
  • To provide BX QC with ‘New fragrance reference oils’ on a daily basis

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update stock of fragrances on PV
  • Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and good laboratory practices
  • To accurately dispense fragrance oils in a clean and safe manner to finished products, meeting the deadlines required from the project initiator, salesperson, perfumer or Laboratory Manager.
  • To maintain the fragrance library in a neat & tidy manner in order that contamination of fragrance oils can be prevented.
  • To transfer finished samples to agreed deadlines to project initiator according to quality guidelines.
  • To liaise with the project initiators, perfumers or Laboratory Manager any issues that may delay sample deadlines.
  • To help maintain stock of all laboratory consumables jars bottles etc.

Skills and Attributes Required

Qualification

Graduate or studying toward a relevant qualification in a related science field will be an advantage but not essential.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Good communication at all levels 
  • Olfactory capabilities.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a team or as an individual
  • Methodical and precise working practices
  • Keen eye for detail
