Reports to:

Finance Manager

Job Purpose:

Keep the company’s accounts accurate and up to date, ensuring a true and fair view of the financial situation at all times. The role provides support to the finance team, particularly during month‑end closing and audit processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

Financial & Accounting Management:

  • Collect and analyze financial information for internal use.
  • Assume responsibility for accounting procedures.
  • Post and register supplier invoices (services).
  • Supervise the posting of raw materials invoices.
  • Register and post DUA (customs) invoices.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and post related accruals.
  • Control and account for credit card transactions.
  • Create and analyze month‑end reports on supplier invoices.

 

Banking, Cash Flow & Treasury:

  • Maintain and update customer and supplier databases.
  • Manage employee expenses and perform related postings.

 

Reporting, Budgeting & Month‑End Closing:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the monthly closing process.
  • Support Senior Accountant and Finance Director in resolving issues during closings and audits.

 

Tax & Compliance:

  • Support tax management processes (SII, Intrastat, VAT, etc.). 

 

Administrative & Documentation Support:

  • Provide administrative support for archive management.
  • Manage import/export documentation and Letters of Credit.
  • Perform any other duties required by the nature of the role.

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish and English).
  • Organize work effectively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Solve problems with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset with strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate internally and with other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

 

Education:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Complete non‑regulated training in accounting (30–60 hours or more), as an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (CMA, CGMA) as an asset.

 

Professional experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an equivalent position.
  • Experience in import/export business activities (preferred).

 

Other skills and requirements:

  • High level of Spanish (C1-C2).
  • Medium-high level of English (B2-C1).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cost accounting and reporting.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Use financial software and MS Office proficiently.
  • Use Microsoft D365 (preferred/asset).
  • Hold valid work-permit in Spain.
